about Audrey

Audrey studied Art as a mature student, graduating in 1999 from Loughborough University with BA (Hons) in Fine Art (Printmaking).  Her degree show won an Astra Zeneca prize, and the University  purchased some of  her work.

She went on to train and work as as an Art Therapist, but has now returned to being primarily an artist, with printmaking as her main focus.

She exhibits regularly and has had her work accepted for exhibitions in Leicester, Nottingham and London.  For the last three years Audrey also held highly successful Open Studios as part of the Ashby Arts Festival, and  the Leicestershire Open Studios.  She currently has work in the International mini-print exhibition, presently touring the UK.

This summer she will be exhibiting at  the High Head gallery in Cumbria.

She is inspired by the landscape - both real and imagined.  She sets out to give the viewer a place for relaxation, contemplation and curiosity, from where they are encouraged to bring their own meaning to what they see.

Audrey is interested in horizons - that edge between the sky and the land, or the sea and the sky.  She wants to question the idea of the edge, the boundary - where does it exist, if at all?
